Evaluation Question 3

From this response we can clearly see how important and vital it was for me to receive a variety of opinions on my tour poster, album packaging and final music video. These results allowed me to find the positives and negatives around my work and this had helped me whenever moving on. This has allowed me to realise the negatives that i may have missed out on, or never saw. It is important for me to always see the problems within my work and note on what i can improve on.

On the other hand i feel that it is well documented from the responses that i have had some success with this project. It is just as import to realise what i have done to a good standard and compare this with other successful variations of the product.

Overall i am very pleased with the audience feedback i have received, i feel accomplished with what i have achieved. I have also learnt a lot from the audience feedback, especially when it comes to the negatives of my work and what i can do to improve on the flaws that i hadn't noticed.

My Final Tour Poster and Album Analysis

I am really pleased with the outcome of my album and tour poster, i feel that throughout my blog i have shown a lot of development to how i have constructed these final products. I have made around 3 drafts for the album and tour poster to ensure that they are good as possible. From each draft i would take advice from my teachers and people in my group on what i should change on each draft. This process was vital for me as it allowed me to go ahead and experiment with some photoshop skills that where new to me, an example of this would be the 3D text i had initially used on the first draft for the album and tour poster. After speaking to my group we realised that this wasn't very relevant to the genre and that we wanted to stick to a black and white colour scheme.

As i developed on the black and white colour scheme i felt that uses some aspects of colour works best and is shown in my album cover where it has hints of colour. I also wanted to stay with a simple design for my album cover as i felt that it would suit this genre of music best. The two logos i had created are a reflection of the classic layout and structure i had chosen for my album. With the tour poster i wanted to make it a little more modern and relatable to a lot of other tour posters of this genre. i feel that the black and white colour scheme works really well on the tour poster as it gets a good message of the actual album.

My CD Cover Research

I researched online to find out what type of cd cover would suit our album best. I feel that for our album would be best to have 4 panels and keep to an original layout. From below you can see how i have researched into different types of 4 panel CD covers and what templates we should use. The template is key so that i am ready when creating the album cover.
Our album cover is also going to have a plastic casing with a slot of the CD, this will allow us to add images onto the inside of the album.

My Album Cover Images

These are going to be the 4 main images i am going to bring into indesign when editing and creating my final album cover. The image with the locks and brick wall are going to be the 2 inside images of the album with the image with text being the front cover and the water image for the back of the album. I am going to add text to this image in indesign which will show what the songs are on the album.

I feel that the colour/black and white effect really works well and is a good way to show the mood set by the music. It is also a good reflection of my music video with it being in black and white.
